Tallow & Beeswax Candles made with a hemp wick. These have a wonderful sweet smell of beeswax & contain no essential oils so they will burn cleaner without producing soot. Tallow & Beeswax Candles will help to clean indoor air rather than pollute.

Available in 4 oz amber jars

Tallow & Beeswax Candles, are much more environmentally friendly than soy which is heavily sprayed with glyphosate (AKA roundup) & grown in an unsustainable extraction method of mono-crop farming. Beeswax candles may even help combat allergies, asthma & hay fever when burned, through the release of negative ions.

Truly eco-friendly the American Grassfed Association Certified Tallow I use for my products comes from cattle raised regeneratively which improves soil, water, & rangeland quality & promotes ecosystem diversity.

Ingredients:

  • American Grassfed Association Certified Trim Fat Tallow
  • Beeswax in whole form, not pelletized (PFAS non-detect verified)
  • Organic Hemp Wick (coated in beeswax, not soy oil)

These candles are free of: Parrafins, Soy, Palm & Cotton Wicks. There is also no adhesive on the bottom of the wicks so gently readjust wick to center if needed.

*Verified PFAS non-detect!
Tested non-detect for Organic Fluorine (detection limit 10 ppm) from a 3rd Party Laboratory.

Why I don't use Soy in Candles

  • All soy wax is chemically distilled with hexane, then bleached with chlorine, deodorized with boric acid & then hydrogenated.
  • The current soy candle controversy comes on the heels of environmental groups calling for hexane-derived soy products to be removed from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's national list of approved substances for use in organically labeled products. Based on a growing body of evidence, the American Academy of Environmental Medicine called for an immediate ban on all hexane derived GMO soy products.
  • It's claimed that soy's greatest advantage is that it is completely renewable. Soy wax suppliers & makers of soy candles market their soy candles as eco-friendly, renewable, sustainable, carbon neutral; the list goes on & on. However this is deceptive; all soy for soy candles is commercially farmed using high intensity commercial farming practices with fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides & chemicals, & all from genetically modified GMO seeds. Soy requires annual tilling & crop rotation which scares away wildlife & beneficial insects which then increases the need for pesticides.
  • An investigative report by Cornucopia & Natural News has revealed that soy products touted as "organic" may not be 100% "natural." It turns out that soy products are bathed in hexane, a gasoline by-product that is particularly volatile. Hexane based solvents are used to "bathe" soy products during processing. The Cornucopia Institute's report called Behind the Bean, reveals higher than expected levels of hexane contamination in "natural" brand name soy products. The Cornucopia report exposes the "dirty little secret" of the "natural" soy foods industry: the widespread use of hexane in processing.

Why I don't use cotton wicks:

  • Cotton is the heaviest sprayed agriculture crop in the United States & like soy is grown from GMO seeds & heavily sprayed with glyphosate
  • Most Cotton wicks are also coated in soy oil or soy wax
